Trip to Israel and Jordan for the Feast of Tabernacles 1998

ITINERARY (taken from the printed brochure)

Oct 2 - Friday
DEAD SEA, Crowne Plaza Hotel

Arrive Tel Aviv Airport, transfer on 4 coaches to Crowne Plaza, Dead Sea. Dinner at Crowne Plaza.

Oct 3 - Saturday (Shabbat)
DEAD SEA, Crowne Plaza Hotel

Breakfast, Sabbath Service in hotel, afternoon free, dinner in hotel.

Oct 4 - Sunday
MASADA & PETRA, Taybet Zaman Hotel

Depart Crowne Plaza after breakfast, on coaches. Stop at Masada for tour. Pass Qumran (where Dead Sea scrolls were found). Arrive at border with Jordan at Allenby Bridge, cross into Jordan and board new coaches. Arrive at hotel in evening. Feast of Tabernacles starts at sunset.

Oct 5 - Monday (First Holy Day)
PETRA, Taybet Zaman Hotel

Breakfast, lunch, then service in hotel. Gala evening with music, food, some dancing.

Oct 6 - Tuesday
PETRA, Taybet Zaman Hotel

After breakfast depart for Petra tour. Lunch at hotel, short service, then to Wadi Rum. Dinner at hotel.

Oct 7 - Wednesday
MT NEBO & JERUSALEM, Jerusalem Hyatt Regency Hotel

Breakfast then board coaches for trip to Madaba, lunch in Madaba, then to Mount Nebo. Cross border back to Israel. Coaches to Jerusalem, dinner in Hyatt Regency Hotel with service.

Oct 8 - Thursday
JERUSALEM, Jerusalem Hyatt Regency Hotel

Breakfast, then dress conservatively for Old City Jerusalem tour. Lunch in Cardo Culinaria (Roman style) restaurant. Dinner at hotel with service.

Oct 9 - Friday
JERUSALEM, Jerusalem Hyatt Regency Hotel

Breakfast, then dress conservatively for Israel Museum, Yad Vashem, Temple Model and Bethlehem. Lunch on own, afternoon free. Depart from Hyatt late afternoon for Shabbat celebration by the Western Wall. Dinner at hotel.

Oct 10 - Saturday (Shabbat)
JERUSALEM, Jerusalem Hyatt Regency Hotel

Breakfast, then dress conservatively for group photo taken on top of Mount Scopus overlooking Mount of Olives. Visit Garden of Gethsemane and Garden Tomb. Lunch at Mount Zion Hotel. Back to hotel for Sabbath service. Dinner on own or at optional folklore evening in local restaurant.

Oct 11 - Sunday
JERICHO, NAZARETH & TIBERIAS, Tiberias Four Points Hotel

Breakfast, then depart for Galilee. Visit Jericho, Nazareth, Cana and arrive in Tiberias. Lunch of St. Peter’s fish in Tiberias, afternoon free. Dinner at hotel with service.

Oct 12 - Monday (Last Great Day Holy Day)
JERICHO, NAZARETH & TIBERIAS, Tiberias Four Points Hotel

Breakfast, then depart for Sea of Galilee. Boat trip on Sea, then visit Capernaum, Tabgha and Mount of Beatitudes. Lunch at hotel. Service in afternoon in hotel. Gala dinner at DECKS restaurant on shore of Sea of Galilee.

Oct 13 - Tuesday
RETURN TO TEL AVIV

After breakfast load coaches, depart for Yardenit to see Jordan river and baptismal place. Lunch at Movenpick restaurant near Mt. Tabor. Visit Megiddo and Caesarea. Dinner in Tel Aviv. Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport for flights home.
